Thank You for visiting the Sunday School Union of the State of Maryland and Vicinity, Inc., that was established in 1894. This Union is comprised of six Member Churches that rotate hosting the gathering every 5th Sunday during the year.
At each Session, the Sunday School Departments and Members study the International Sunday School Lesson in "Age-Appropriate" Classes, followed by a "Spirit-filled, United Worship Service" directed by the Host Church.
The Union also sponsors a “Youth Activity Night", on the Friday before the 5th Sunday gatherings. As you continue to view our site, know that you are welcome to contact us or visit our Member Churches through their web sites.
Blessings!

Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions are a reflection of his goodness.
We look to the Lord for guidance in our lives. In Scripture, we find all that we need to guide us in the right path. Reading and understand Scripture helps us all live meaningful lives.
Join us. We welcome each and every one of you to encounter the Lord's unconditional love with us. Inside each of us is a purpose and meaning to be fulfilled by God.
How It All Began. . .
In the year of our Lord 1894, one of our Christian leaders had a vision showing them that “Where There Is Unity There Is Strength.” So, on December 30, 1894, they called a mass meeting at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church for the purpose of organizing a Sabbath School Union.
The Gospel has a message for everyone, of every age, and in every language. Exposing your child to the Lord's path when they are young gives them guidance, hope and strength that lasts a lifetime. To learn more, be in touch with one of our Pastors.
